Centennial High School Reviews

The school is overcrowded and dangerous. There were three fights the first month of the 2008 school year. Two of them were near my daughter's locker. Because of the overcrowding she finds it hard to get from one classroom to the other. All her life she has loved school but since coming to high school every morning when I drop her off she says 'I hate the %^%$**$ school.' She likes her teachers and she gets good grades, but she doesn't have to put out much effort at all to get her B+ average, so she is bored. She used to be a sweet kid but was picked on so much she had to toughen up and learn to shove back and curse back at other kids. Last year one senior girl tried to pick a fight with her because she didn't like my daughter's purse!

The students are very respectful and the communication between them and the staff is high. It makes for a great learning environment!

This school is an amazing school and has a great oppertuneities and classes! My brother has graduated and I will be graduateing this year ! I am so thnakful for centennial 's teen parent department without them my Best friend would not be in school anymore she made it to her senior year with me and has a kid if we did not have a Daycare in our school and such halpful people wanting to help theese teens who have kid and still want to get there education thank you so much so much ! You made my friend life a little easier in being able to graduate this year ! Thank you and Thanks to everyone who works at centennial you are all amazing ! Thanks

I think it is a great school now! It had its problems(2002-2004) but I think they are all worked out now(in my opinion).

Although the the funding has gone down for all extracurricular activities, these activities are still available.

The school has a great campus and great teachers and great students, but no official website! What gives?

My son and daughter have graduated from Centennial, and I have to say that I am quite satisfied with the education that they received. The school did have its ups and downs when the construction was taking place, but it was for the best. My daughter loved the school, especially because in addition to having great teachers and an wide range of classes to choose from, she also had the opportunity to be involved in athletics. It would be nice if the school would offer more AP courses, and my children have told me that the new vice principal, Mr. Schuhl is actually working on that. I just wanted to say 'Thank you' to the entire Centennial staff and faculty for giving my kids a great education. My children would like to especially thank Mr. Purcell, Mr. Price, Mr. Mott, Mr. Schuhl, and Mrs. Dube. You guys are outstanding. THANK YOU!!!

Centennial Rocks! I graduated from CHS and I have to say that I truly miss the school. I went to a different school my freshman/sophomore year and I am so glad I moved to CHS. The school offers so many extracurricular activities ranging from athletics to a ton of clubs (such as Speech Team and FBLA) to community service (there are tutoring opportunities and a Random Acts of Kindness Club). That's not the best part though. The best part is that teachers truly care. They actually take an interest in their students and go that extra mile to develop a personal relationship with each of their students. Some of my teachers, actually most of them, are so awesome that I wouldn't mind hanging out with them. Now how many students can say that about their teachers? Overall, students get a great education at CHS and have a ton of fun.

I don't feel that the assistant principal and other staff, do what they can do. I feel that the phrase of children 'being responsible' is a catch 22 phrase for the some of the staff, used only when they themselves dont want to put the effort out to help certain students. I went to this high school in 1988, and can honestly say, the staff then, versus the staff now... no comparison, too bad they are not one in the same. I only hope, my child has a chance to make it, in a school full of self service personel. By the way, my child is not their to teach themselves, there is reasons why a school requires staff.

As an ESL student I don't know much English but I want to say that Centennial High School is the best place for study (for me). It has a lot of activities for you to involve after school, and if you need to have with your home work or some other projects that you don't know how to solve we have tutoring center everydays.

The school is in a cash crisis and the school right now looks horrible, and they are having to take away a lot of activities.
