Pacific Crest School Reviews

I've had two different children attend Pacific Crest and I often recommend it to other families. It's a wonderful school for slightly out-of-the box students, especially those who are self-motivated, bright and creative. The school will let them go as far and as fast as they want to, and they will fit right into the community. It is not a good place for students who need lots of supervision or who want a traditional 'high school experience' with lots of team sports, dances and clubs. My children, who were pretty much sleep-walking their way through public school, rediscovered their love of learning at PCCS.

My daughter graduated after spending 5 years a PCrest. Not only was she academically challenged during her time there, but her individuality was encouraged and she matured in ways that I doubt she would have in her previous public school. She learned how to play guitar because several were lying around and students play constantly and help others to learn. Her senior dissertion, a photo essay, was a long thought out decision and demonstrated her strengths - art - but challenged her to build new skills that didn't come easy to her - social skills. As a parent I felt welcomed to volunteer and even share my expertise in my field to students. The kids at Pacific Crest, for the most part are respectful to each other and to adults because they are treated with respect. I wholeheartedly recommend this school to unique teens who need a nurting and challenging environment
