Horizon Christian Schools Reviews

There is no better place to learn. Both of my children have learned so much. It's nice to see a school that focuses on faith as much as they do on education.

Horizon has exceeded our expectations. Horizon is a Christian school first and foremost. Many Christian school are so hard academically not all students can make it there. Horizon fits many level of students. The sports are great and many sports are offered for such a small school.

I have attended this school for many years in both the middle school and elementary school. The teachers at horizon are completely oblivious to what students are actually doing; Students make fun of each other all the time, but the tecers dont catch it because they r using made up words that mean really nasty and insulting things. Many children at this school get made fun of constantly. The education and extracurricular activities are great though.

I am proud to say that all four of my children attended CCS (K throug 8, and now high school). The teachers and administrators care deeply about the students. This is a Christian school that lives out it's mission each and every day. The coursework is challenging so 'slackers' need not apply. If sports is important to you, then you will find lots of opportunities in this area as well. All four of my children are thriving in their personal lives, their academic pursuits (two are now in high scholl and two are in college), and their relationships with God. No school is perfect and individual students have different needs (CCS may not be a good fit). Ultimately, it is your job to choose what is best for your child. You should make an effort to evaluate CCS.

This school is not in any way worthy of such high ratings, to me. As a student, i'd like to add that they pile on way too much homework, that is usually irrellevant to our education, and is highly uneccessary. Most often, this consists of memorizing extensive verses and following an advanced 'sunday-school' curriculum. I wouldn't reccomend this school at all. There are some nice people there, although many are very snobbish. Many fail many classes, because of the extra bible school work they find not neccesary. I'd also like to add another insight on the academics, which are poor in my opinion. I think that public school is a better choice if you are focusing solely on academics and on social success. Please reconsider. The upper grades, especially (middle/high school @ horizon campus) are unsatisfactory by far. Many parents agree.

If your biggest goal is 'it's better than the local public school' this school will work...but if academics are really important, I'd take a closer, more critical look and really make sure it is right for you.

CCS has exceeded our expectations in every aspect. Our child has achieved so much academically and is constantly challenged. The teachers are amazing and the individual attention is excellent! The curriculum is outstanding and the Christian values are everywhere. CCS is the best investment we could make in our childrens lives!

The school excells in academics, and has very strong Christian teachers. We have been very disappointed with the lack of discipline that seems to be very prevalent. The principal and overhead staff seem to work very hard to keep problem children enrolled at the school, to the detrement of the other children.
