I'm business student posing as an engineer and often an art student. The non-scholastic part of me is a photographer, though I don't find much value in keeping photos of friends or family around (yeah, I'm complex like that.) My name is christian, it was just up until recently i started a new chapter to my life. I have actually started enjoying life, i quit living the way i did, the last four years has been a interesting journey. I am a pretty easy person to get along with. I am quiet when I first meet people, but that quickly changes. I meet most of my friends playing pool, so I am in the bar a couple times a week. I like to have a few drinks, but I play better while I am sober, so I rarely overindulge. I am a big baseball fan. GO DODGERS! I love to take trips to Seattle to see a game a couple times over the summer. I like to travel. A couple of my favorite travel destinations are Key West and Mexico. I also like backpacking for the weekend. If I can carry my things into the wilderness and avoid people for 2 or 3 days, I am a happy man. That's also how I prefer to camp. Some things I do not like are popcorn, dates who cannot leave their cell phone in their purse, idiot drivers (been guilty though), cheaters, thieves, "cookie-cutter" country music, tequila hangovers, drama, the NY Yankees, and playing pool like crap.

I ended up living in Okinawa Japan for two years, which was a great experiance. Then went to North Carolina where i was deployed to Iraq for a tour and back to NC. Eventhough my son's a teenager and almost totally independent, he still needs me present physically and emotionally. I am on an intense journey to find who I'm supposed to be in this life. And I am not perfect, or anywhere near it. I try not to take myself too seriously. Tho I fail at this most of the time. Laughing is truly the best medicine! I am completely sober and proud of it. I have a great career. I even love the people I work with!! But there's something missing in this picture........

This isn't something I normally do so I don't really know what to say. I moved to Portland in July of 2009 from California. A month later I took a job that required me to move to Vancouver, Washington. I was a live in nanny which made it pretty much impossible to get out hence, dating profile. But alas, that job ended in Novemember. I went home to Cali for a month or so and am now back, living in OR city.

*someone who almost died kayaking but wants to kayak again
*someone who escapes to the beach
*a positive person who doesn't have time for negativity

*Friends, moving so much has deprived me of friends.

What I don't want:
*Guys old enough to be my father hitting on me. Seriously, that's disgusting.
*Someone who isn't going anywhere in life
*Someone who just wants to fuck me.

This is where I suppose we need to write something witty and clever about ourselves..and so here I sit looking at my life..who I am, what I have and have not done, where I have been, and where I am going. Though I am neither terribly old, nor terribly young I have seen many things and been several places, I lost most of my naivete long ago, yet somehow posess some still.

I have had days where it all went right, and days where though I thought it was all wrong it still turned out for the best.

I wear so many hats that I cannot really tell you all about me, as there are many facets. I like to think of myself as simple, ordinary, grounded, and fun....though I have often found that to really know a person the best route is to ask their friends.

I have been accused of being outgoing, intelligent, crazy, and open. Caring, honest to a fault, and somewhat tempestuous. and all are true at some points.

However I cannot explain to you in a few short paragraphs all that makes up me. My strengths are many, my weaknesses few, I have been through the fires, I have spent time under the dismal rain of life, yet I too have played in the sunshine, and laughed in the wind.

There are days where my favorite word is F*uck, and my foul mood is reflected in foul words..then there too are days where I am insightful, and use words that some may need a dictionary to understand what I am saying. I am neither pompous, nor uneducated, it just depends on how I feel.

One important thing to know however, is though I do appear quite open..there are many things I do not share, I am exactly what I seem,

Well my name is Chris. I'm a deep thinker that knows more then I say sometimes. I'm quiet when meeting new people for the first time in person, but that doesn't mean I have nothing to say. I like so many things including unusual foods and music...love to play and watch sports...be active in Tennis, Golf, Ping Pong, Bowling, Shooting Pool...like to take road trips to explore different places...casinos are a fun way to unwind...traveling and vacations are nice...so is just cuddling on the sofa watching a movie.
Looking for a special someone to share lifes thrill ride...I enjoy being with that special person...that one on one bond...the affection, the importance of a relationship. Or just having some fun...that's good too.

Hi there. A little about me. I am 34, I work in Security at a local business complex. I don't drink or smoke (I've been sober since Aug 12th, 2000). So if that is a problem, I am not the one for you.

I am a huge Star Wars geek. Been a fan since the first movie came out. I belong to a local costuming group where we dress up as Star Wars characters for charity work. It is all for the fans.. and the kids! If this sounds lame to you, I am not the one for you.

I'd like to think that I am a down-to-earth kind of guy and I don't care for games. I'm no spring chicken anymore and I would really like to settle down. If you are looking for a party stud, that is not me. If you are looking for some rich man to be your sugar daddy, that is not me.

Like I said, I am a down-to-earth guy, just an average guy. I have interests in anything that is sci-fi, costuming or prop building. I like American muscle cars, but am not a big fan of NASCAR. I watch sports on a rare occasion. I'm into history, so if I am not reading the latest Star Wars book, there is a good possibility that I am watching the History Channel, Sci-Fi Channel, or any other guy-related channel on tv, or I am reading something historically based.
