Religiously, I identify as an agnostic - I acknowledge the possibility that there are greater powers than I out there, but I haven't met any recently, and enough has happened in my life that I don't believe that I'm part of some diety's master plan. I have no problem with other religions, or lack thereof, and will happily keep an open mind for discourse if everyone else does.

I'm not overly political by nature - if you had to pin me down, I'd have democratic leanings. The most political thing I've done is serve in the U.S. Navy for 5 years; that was as much for me as for US.

I love rollerblading and skiing, though here in Oregon there's a fair amount of time you can't practically do either. I enjoy cooking (Alton Brown is a small god.... as is Terry Pratchett).

Willing to experiment with just about anything so long as a smile is involved. Selfishness and control suck - if I need to change you, I shouldn't be with you!! Mostly I try to enjoy life to the fullest, and surround myself with love of friends and family. I am a easy going humble person, I love laughing about non-sense and every day things. I grew up on a large plot of land and am a very outdoors oriented person. But at the same time, I love Portland and everything it has to offer.

I am a pretty easy person to get along with. I am quiet when I first meet people, but that quickly changes. I meet most of my friends playing pool, so I am in the bar a couple times a week. Hi my name is Dale I am 6ft 2in tall I have blue eyes and brown hair. I weigh 250 lbs but I am not a fat guy I do have a little bit of a gut but I am currently working out trying to get rid of it. I am a retired structural engineer who just recently moved to the Oregon City area. I downsized to a more reasonable sized house with a large lot where I could build a shop. I've done a lot of things already in my life, gone to college ( twice) owned a cafe, moved across the country ( twice) and am currently working to get out of commercial kitchens for good! Eventhough my son's a teenager and almost totally independent, he still needs me present physically and emotionally. I am on an intense journey to find who I'm supposed to be in this life. And I am not perfect, or anywhere near it. I try not to take myself too seriously. Tho I fail at this most of the time. Laughing is truly the best medicine! I am completely sober and proud of it. My name is christian, it was just up until recently i started a new chapter to my life. I have actually started enjoying life, i quit living the way i did, the last four years has been a interesting journey. I went through a lot and i still have the scares to show for of all those days and nights of struggle and pain. Now that i have left that uncomfortable place that i existed in for so long, i dont intend on going back. I have always tried to save the world, every relationship i have been in has always consisted of me chasing away their monsters out from underneath their bed and trying to be superman. I am a very loving and caring person that has no tolerance for violence or violent people. I am very loving to every one and everything. I am not materialistic at all, all i ask for in life is to be happy and for the first time i am not trying to find happiness outside of myself for example drugs (not meth or heroin mostly pot and pills which i have been sober for a long time now) or toxic relationships and people and all negative forms of life and experience that i use to cling on to. I have found true happiness which was shaped by years of depression and despair that finally drove me to push harder and harder to escape and to actually feel alive again. All those things that happened to me happened for a reason i do not regret a single thing at all, i am a better and stronger person because of everything. I have never had a normal relationship, I think that many women out in the world are scared of me because i actually act like a gentlemen. I actually show i care for the other person and make it obvious that i am in it for the right reasons but a lot of women in today's world do not understand that the way i act is actually who i really i am, they are scared because they do not realize that i am sincere. Most of my long term relationships have always been someone who was in need of a hero, for some reason i unconsciously picked those people out and took the role of the super hero. Maybe because i saw myself in their eyes and the tears that fell from them and was also trying to save a part of myself. From a early age i have always felt a since of having a duty to fulfill and this was the main reason that i would walk literally miles every night and day by myself. No destination just wandering around this town searching for some thing and the difficult thing was i never knew what i was looking for exactly. Now i know that i was searching for myself and i found myself i am not saying i have completely figured everything out about me but i am now able to have enough clarity to move forward and learn more about this young man named christian. For me i take life day by day and each and every sunset and sunrise i never take for granted. What i want can not be bought with money i want the real things in life that don't have a made in china sticker labeled on it. I want someone who can cherish me and actually look at me with eyes that sincerely love me, i want some one i can love with all my heart and come home to from a long day of work and just lay down with and actually hold with out wondering if she will be there tomorrow. Some one i can cherish and hold close to my heart, someone i can look at and know that i belong to her and that she belongs to me. A friend, a lover, a companion and the other part of my heart. Yes you could say i am a hopeless romantic but i am not hopeless any more.

I like so many things including unusual foods and music...love to play and watch sports...be active in Tennis, Golf, Ping Pong, Bowling, Shooting Pool...like to take road trips to explore different places...casinos are a fun way to unwind...traveling and vacations are nice...so is just cuddling on the sofa watching a movie.

I hate trying to describe myself in a few paragraphs cause you cant get to know someone by what they say on their profile you have to actually get to know them but here goese.I am just like any other girl my age and I enjoy most of the same things like hanging out with friends,going to movies,lisenting to music,photograhpy,spending time with family,and lots of other things.

I'm fun loving, possative and one that can be counted on. I'm very happy with my life. I'm a single dad of one ( he's 15 yo ) , a home owner and have a Chevy 2500 HD 4X4 truck and a 16 ft. fishing boat. But I have the boat up for sale. I like to keep thing up beat and fun. I've been having alot of fun with my new Traeger grill by making jurky, ribs and so on. If you haven't had a steak cooked on a Traeger then you're not living right. It's the best. Anyway...
